Diagnosis is made using questions, observation and palpation.
Questionning gives the medical history, background and specifics to a client's condition, and offers the client an opportunity to tell his/her story.
Observation refers to colouration in the skin, around the affected area, and also in the face. It also refers to the sound of the voice, and other sounds in the body, the demeanour, character(istics), and how they change through the telling of the story or over the course of treatments.
It also refers to tongue diagnosis
Palpation can include pulse taking and abdomen palpation, but also means feeling the qi in the client's body and areas that are hot or cold.
The palpation of qi can be along meridians, in the abdomen (hara diagnosis), or where there is a blockage or build-up of qi.
